This was an amazing location, beautiful space, and super kind and accommodating staff. Can’t recommend it enough.
Jerónimo and his team were incredibly welcoming and accommodating throughout my stay. The hotel is beautiful, with a perfect location close to many tourist attractions. They provided excellent recommendations, making my trip even more enjoyable. I couldn’t be happier with my experience here!
The host, Jerónimo, is exceptional. He was always available to offer suggestions on what to see, where to eat, where to go. He even arranged a private taxi back to the airport!
Lovely owner and staff. The decor was charming, a perfect mix of modern and classically old to match the architecture with pretty moldings making it a cozy setting. Lots of nice details. Normally, I want a window that opens and lets in natural light. It opened, but to an air shaft. However, the shaft had been cleverly fitted with garden boxes full of lush green plants-- allowing privacy and creating a sense of a garden. The room was very comfortable and pleasant. Nice bathroom. As is often the case, the hot water was slow to arrive, but good pressure and temperature once it was ready. Great tea selection in the room. Fruit, candies and local liquors in the inviting lobby area. Great art and books. Pleasant music in the common area added to the ambiance.
The owner, Jeronimo, was great! He got us into our very comfortable rooms after a late night of traveling. He answered all of our questions about the area and ,with our very limited Spanish, even helped us book online our bus to Colonia del Sacramento and ferry to Buenos Aires. He went above and beyond!
The most beautiful mid century modern design! Truly beautiful decor, and every detail is very intentional and well thought out. Extraordinarily clean. Communication is easy and helpful. Great location in the middle of old town, near many sights you will want to see as a tourist. Highly recommend Fauna.
Everything about this hotel is wonderful. The decor is impeccable (smartly selected midcentury furniture from Buenos Aires) and the hotel is located right in the center of old Montevideo. Jeronimo is very accommodating and has great recommendations for places to eat and things to see.
The hotel is excellent. Very comfortable and well appointed. The honor local liquor bar (just did small sampling) was a nice touch. I liked being in Ciudad viejo although it may not be for everyone.
The place is beautifully restored and decorated and the staff were very attentive. The hotel is within walking distance of most of the city main attractions.
The whole place is updated and modern. The rooms are quiet and very comfortable while the lobby itself is a nice place to talk or read or just relax....there's always some nice music on in the background. Oh, and a great central location in the old city.
